(no subject)

Today I auditioned for RDG, the Repertory Dance Group at the school. I never bothered with it before, but this semester they're finally doing a tap number (for the first time in over four years, they said), and of course I'm all over any tap at school. But they had one audition piece for the 100+ people who showed up that they had everyone perform, and of course it was jazz/hip hop, since that's what most people do and what most of the dances are. I didn't do the best, but I think I did fairly well (especially for someone who has no experience in those styles and doesn't really even like them), and at least I remembered to smile, which I don't think most people did. I did get to exhibit a few tap steps in the free eight-count there was in the middle of the routine, so hopefully that was enough for them to overlook the mistakes I made. I just...definitely want to dance here, and it will be a lot easier if I don't even have to leave school for it. XD

I also interviewed for the position of head fiction editor for our literary magazine, and I think I came across well there. But I suppose I'll just have to wait and see on both of these!

My birthday is in two days. On Friday I got the package of presents from family, but I'm being good and waiting until Tuesday to open them, even though they're just sitting there on my desk and I know exactly what's in them. Gah! Why am I being good again? XD
