Our yearbook came out this week, and in two of my group pictures, my name is spelled wrong. Which two? The National Merit Finalists and the National Honor Society members.
I find it supremely ironic, albeit annoying, that both of the high-academic-honor group pictures I'm in have misspellings. It's just worse that it happens to be my name (first name in National Merit, and both first and last in Honor Society) and my twin's (last in Honor Society). And there were only twelve of us in the National Merit picture. How hard can it be to look at twelve names to make sure you're spelling them right, especially when you most likely would have had to have them with you in order to know who's who?
Gah. My name is misspelled (and mispronounced) often enough that it probably shouldn't irk me so much to see that it's happened again, but dammit, being a National Merit Finalist was one of the pinnacles of my high school career, and the least they could have done was spelled my damn name right.
