We've got our first entry for the Shakespeare challenge! *beams* (I still need to hand out lines for the last few people--the count of participants is up to nearly 60 now! *amazed*)
Mercy by
xellas. HP, Snape & Lily, gen, PG.
The quality of mercy is not strained;
It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven
Unto the place beneath. It is twice blest;
It blesseth him that gives and him that takes.
The Merchant of Venice, Act IV, scene I
Go read it, it's good! :D And one of my favorite Shakespeare quotes, too--I memorized the whole speech freshman year, and I still remember most of it, amazingly enough.
Also, something I forgot to mention about my day yesterday. One of the women was making a bodice for someone else who wasn't there, and she said that I looked about the right size and asked me if I would model for her, and I said okay. So I put it on and it fit all right, but it was when she was lacing me up that it became obvious that *cough* I'm better endowed than the person the bodice is intended for is. I was wearing a shirt underneath, but the bodice really pushed my breasts up and out, and one of the men asked me if I was over the age of consent, and then the woman said that it was only sixteen in California (which was where we were). I would have been laughing, if I'd been able to breathe.
And I finished So You Want to Be a Wizard, and I really liked it.
terredancer, or anyone who knows, what's the next book in the series? I want to get it out of the library.
