Epistolary comments
May. 12th, 2004 06:39 pmDear laptop,
Please refrain from:
1. Freezing for no discernible reason while I am trying to write a rejection letter. I don't like writing rejection letters and I don't want to have to start all over when I'm nearly done.
2. Freezing when I open documents from the Start menu.
3. Freezing when I try to install HTML editors so that I can code fics rather than write those rejection letters.
4. Refusing to open what HTML editors I do have for no discernible reason.
5. Refusing to save at NotePad document as .html, thereby getting me in trouble with all these other HTML editors.
6. Freezing arbitrarily.
7. Refusing to shut down properly and making me press the button, thereby taking forever to start up again while you check the drives for errors that are not there.
8. Refusing to install Windows XP for no discernible reason.
9. Refusing to install various spyware and adware detectors for no discernible reason.
10. Being generally crappy despite being only two and a half years old.
No love at all,
Rynne
Dear flist,
I adore you all. You keep me sane in times of trial and migraine, and are very encouraging to this poor writer wannabe. Hugs to all of you!
Tons of love,
Rynne
Dear Sam,
You make the best icons ever, and I would offer to have Stealing Harry's babies, if it were possible.
Much love,
Rynne
Dear FictionAlley Mods,
You are underappreciated far too often for all the hard work you do. You get far more people bitching at you for things not being done to their liking than you get people giving you general loff, which is a very sad thing. You deserve much more than this short letter for all the work you put into giving so many of us a place to enjoy ourselves and talk about books and fics that we love. I'd give you a pat on the back if I felt it was enough to repay you for all that you've done for me, including introducing me to so many of the people I count my best friends here on LJ. I'm sad you didn't get the WEBBY, though very glad you were nominated, because you deserve it.
Very much love,
Rynne
I'm thinking of posting that last in the S&Q forum, so that all the mods can see and know how appreciative I am of them and all that they do.
