rynne1. Harry Reid, Nevada's senior Senator and the Senate Minority Leader (and therefore probably the most powerful Democrat in the nation), came and spoke at my high school today. And you know, even though I like him...he's very much a politician. He propagandized (that's a word, isn't it?) about Social Security, and while most of the hour he had was devoted to questions, he gave maybe two of them straight answers (does he think legalizing marijuana is a good idea--no--and what does he think about the recent debate on teaching evolution vs creationism in school--a science class is hardly complete without evolution--this was my question, btw). Still, even though he's every inch a politician, I like him.
2. I took the Statistics AP test today. Not allowed to say anything specific (*rolls eyes* Dude, how am I going to cheat now, or help anyone else cheat, when the test is over in all parts of the US?), but if I didn't pass, I'll be very, very surprised.
Also, I hate AP tests. Not the tests themselves, but the fact that we aren't allowed to do anything when we're finished. We had an hour and a half to do the multiple choice part, I finished after forty minutes (it was forty questions), and then I wasn't allowed to do anything but sit there. Well, and take a nap, as that's what I did. AP test time rather tends to become naptime, as there's nothing else to do.
English tomorrow. Not worried, cuz it's English. I got a 5 (which is the highest grade, and something very few people in my class got) on the Language one last year, and...it's English. Not a problem.
Now I need to bug the little sister about lending me her rhyming dictionary. Need it for my new R/S fic-type-thing...
