...On metaquotes, I just saw this post about Zebra Cakes and I read that as being pronounced--in my mind--zehbra cakes, not zeebra cakes. *facepalm* I'm not sure whether to be pleased or O.o about this, as you know, I'm American and so z is zee and not zed, but I guess it might be good as it's sort of...Britpicking my thoughts? *facepalms again*

And you know how I posted that new reclist yesterday? *more facepalms* It's been updated, so now there's fifty fics, plus several I can't believe I forgot to put on yesterday (how the hell could I have forgotten ignipes's Man-eaters of Kumaon?), so...go check it out. Yeah. Of course, it doesn't compare to my utter lack of life concerning the R/S reclist (speaking of which--anniesj, have you gotten my email?), but it's another nice reference to have, so I don't forget all the non-R/S stuff I like.

I'm also sick. Headache, nausea, sore throat...the works. Damn, I'm really getting sick a lot. Bother. At least there's a three-day weekend, so I can hopefully get over it when school's back on Tuesday--I'm fairly sure that my nineteen-hour weekdays aren't good for an illness.

Now something nice gacked from krabapple.

:) I'm absolutely awful about reviewing (for some reason, I don't like reviewing at FA unless I can go pretty in depth, and often I don't have the time--a bunch of the stuff that I put on this list I read because I'm a coder), but Man-eaters of Kumaon held me transfixed from start to end. It's easily my favorite Lost Years Remus story ever.

I think it's actually "From This Day to the Ending of the World". I mean, I love your mainly-R/S stuff, of course, as R/S is my OTP, but...I love how understated it is in "From This Day...", how it seems to be taken for granted that Remus and Sirius are together. I love that. And Vic is so, so right--there's not enough James/Lily fic around, by far. And I loved your James, getting the kitten out of the tree and throwing up because of the venison, and so protective of Lily and his friends--and then Lily, and her giving James a chance and it paying off, and knowing what she wants, and everything...it's a reaffirmation of why I love both James/Lily and Remus/Sirius, and I love that fic.

(First of all, those legs are transfixing me. o.O)

Anyway, this was hard, as you know I like practically everything you write. But I think it's a tie between In Theory and Happily--it's exactly the ending I would have wished for our puppies. Sirius's theory is one of the most brilliant "cures" for lycanthropy I've ever read, and they're getting their lives back after so much sorrow, and there's H/G and R/Hr and Sirius looks about sixteen, and ohhhh these are probably my favorite comfort fics. They never fail to cheer me up. :D

I think it's actually "A Slip of the Tongue", though that one doesn't get as much notice as others of your fics do. But I can't help but smile whenever I think of Sirius randomly realizing that he's in love with Remus, especially during sex with his girlfriend. And then Remus not believing him and looking up the spells, and just some brilliant, brilliant lines. I still laugh when I read "You're telling me you mistook nausea for love? And you married him?" And I love the flying memory that Sirius brings up. It's just sweet, and cute, and funny, and I love it.
