I am nerdier than 10% of all people. Are you nerdier? Click here to find out!

Lowest nerd score of my entire flist thus far. I am entirely too amused. XD Especially considering how anal I am about grammar.

Randomly, is there a Lily/James community? I want to post the Lily/James fic from earlier to it, only I don't know if there is one.

Also randomly, do you respond to feedback (if you can, like with LJ comments)? Do you think it's rude not to?

...Well, I was going to attempt solidarity by being as un-nerdy as you, but I got a 17. ^^

Hee. I suppose it's low enough that the solidarity's there anyway.

(Besides, we talk about how cool Shakespeare plays are in our spare time. I think we qualify. *g*)

That quiz was totally biased! I'm not a science nerd or a math nerd, but I'm still a nerd!

I'm sure there's a Lily/James community. I've even seen it. I just can't for the life of me remember what it's called.

Maybe the correct term for us is geeks. You know how people say grammar geeks, but they don't say grammar nerds? *g* If there was a geek quiz and it asked us things like how to correctly punctuate dialogue and if we had a copy of the MLA handbook, I bet we'd score high. :p

We so would. We would rule that quiz!

I think I need sleep. ^_^

Go Geeks!

It's a very math/stats-focused quiz, I noticed. (Though I guess I might allow that, and use "geek" as a broader term, to include those of us who are artsy and humanities-focused and yet into fandom and the internet and grammar and trivia and all sorts of other geeky things.)

As for feedback, I like to respond. I don't think it's rude not to, though, especially if you get a lot. I do try to respond to all if I respond to any, though, even if it's just a "Thanks! :)", and particularly if it's in a publicly visible medium like LJ comments.

Hee. Yes, I am a total geek, even if I'm not a nerd. :p

Hi Hon

I try and make a point of ALWAYS responding to feedback, whether it is LJ comments, email or whatever. I think it is rude not to. I have a few friends that I usually feedback to, but if, after about 10 or so times and they havent even bothered to say "thanks" I'll stop feedbacking, and might even stop reading them altogether.

xxx

Hmmm, thanks for the input. I usually manage to respond but often life and fandom just sort of explode on me and I'm not sure I have the time. But then, I am appreciative that people like the fic enough to let me know, so I suppose the least I can do is make the time to thank them. :)

if it makes you feel better I am on the other end of the spectrum. I got an 85 and I have seen no higher as of yet. My little brother is closest with a 61...

I gacked the quiz off someone on my flist with a 96. XD ([livejournal.com profile] losselen, for reference, though I think she flocks)

I respond to all feedback (though sometimes it takes me a week or two, with email). I tend to stop giving feedback to someone who doesn't ever respond. If I can take the few seconds to say, "I liked it," (or more) the author can take five seconds to say, "thank you." And v.v., of course. If people take the time to read and comment on a story of mine, I feel rude if I don't thank them.

Thanks for the input. I usually manage to respond, but sometimes, like with a fic I posted a few days after Christmas and then couldn't get online until nearly a week later due to a virus, I didn't respond to the feedback for the most part because it seemed a bit late. *sigh* Will definitely keep what you said in mind.

Well, sure, everybody understands real life getting in the way or having computer issues or what have you every once in a while but really, unless it's months and months after, it's not too late to respond. Or just post a blanket, "Thanks so much for the lovely comments, I'm sorry I didn't get to answer individually because of X," so people don't think they're being ignored. You'd be surprised at how much better that makes people feel. Especially on LJ, because we can see that the comments are there, unlike email, which you never quite know has arrived until you hear back.

I scored a 12 when I did the quiz.

Lily/James community coming ... [livejournal.com profile] lilyandjames.

Also, there are two James communities [livejournal.com profile] james101 and [livejournal.com profile] stagnight which both are happy with the pairing.

I'm pretty sure [livejournal.com profile] stagnight is James-slash only. Sigh. Also invite-only, afaik.

But I second the lilyandjames community.

Well, you're more sciency and mathy (I don't care if they aren't words) than I am, and that's mostly what the quiz was one. My twin got a 57, and she's on Science Bowl and Academic Olympics.

I may be mathy (Well, I'm supposed to be, being Chinese and all, so the stereotype says), but science goes whoosh! over head. So no.

[livejournal.com profile] lilyandjames L/J comms.

If I did post fic or art and got FB, I would. It's not exactly rude not to, but I think it's nice to respond.
