Very randomly, I want a balloon
Dec. 6th, 2004 08:22 pmMy first
crack_broom rec is up! Go read it here. :D
I'm trying to rec some of the less well-known stories and authors--pretty much everyone knows
shoebox_project and
musesfool and
copperbadge and
anniesj and
casirafics, so I won't be doing any by them--but this is an exception. Like I said in the rec, ever since I saw
crack_broom and beat
froda_baggins (:p!) to the spot of first Remus/Sirius reccer, I knew that this fic would be the first one I recced. All the others will be less well-known ones, though--I've already got them all planned out. :D
Know what's ironic? Last night, as I was falling asleep, I was for some reason thinking, "Oh, my period should be next week." Then I wake up this morning and there it is. -_-; I hate it when it's early, sigh. Cramps are somehow always worse when it is. But it's better than being late, I suppose. *ponders*
Does anyone else think that words are really weird sometimes, if you stare at them? Take "brother", for instance. Stare at it. After looking at it long enough, it almost seems like a nonsense word. Lots of other words too. Maybe if you stare at almost any word, it will start to look weird.
Why yes, I am quite tired. I should probably go to bed soon.

Date: 2004-12-07 05:34 am (UTC)But i guess it's because English isn't my mother-tongue. But I know what you mean. In German it works best with "Bleistift" (pencil) XD. Ah, I don't know why.
Then I wake up this morning and there it is. -_-; I hate it when it's early, sigh.

Date: 2004-12-07 08:01 pm (UTC)"Tissue" has always held a strange fascination for me. When you say it a couple of times, it loses its meaning altogther, and just becomes very syllabic (?)

Date: 2004-12-07 08:39 pm (UTC)Though lately I consistently get it early, so maybe it's making up for that. :p
