rynneOkay. National Merit stuff is now out of my hands--I've turned in everything that I need to have done myself, I've got a teacher writing my recommendation letter, and I've got National Merit as one of the score recipients for the SATs I'm taking in October (my second; I didn't do as well as I'd hoped my first time). That's all I need, right? *goes to check* Yes it is.
*sigh of relief* Now all I can do is study for that SAT. Screw verbal--I've got that down, and I've only improved in the year since I've taken it, according to online tests. But math...sometimes I have JKR Math Syndrome, and I have no idea how I managed a 64 on the PSAT, though it got me into this whole thing...anyway.
Note to self: Remember how to do geometry and basic algebra. Just because my math classes for the past two years haven't required either of those does not mean that I can forget them. STUDY GEOMETRY AND ALGEBRA.

*takes a deep, cleansing breath* I can do this. I can become a finalist. 15,000 out of 16,000 semifinalists go on to finalist, and I've done everything I need to, so I should too.

nyourdrms and I are both going to Renfaires tomorrow...
*RAGE AT LAPTOP* I want my laptop to work. I have so much stuff on it...and now I'm really craving Final Fantasy, and I want to finishlosselen's Cloud/Zack, and I want people to write me Cloud/Sephiroth, but bobdammit, not enough people play Final Fantasy. Good game, people. Cloud is (canonically! Really!) Sephiroth's boytoy! And he's is completely romantically indifferent to Tifa, whose breast size is bigger than her brain. (Nothing against Tifa; I actually kinda like her. But damn, she's got HUGE knockers! One alone is like the size of her head, seriously.) But Cloud really is gayer than a treeful of monkeys on nitrous oxide (why yes, I am rereading Good Omens. *g*).
Not to mention that most of the Cloud/Sephiroth I've read is more original than half of what's in the HP fandom. Though of course, there's far less of it, making it easier to be original...but DUDE! It's really ORIGINAL!
*tries to tempt people into playing FFVII* Or if you want to be lazy and just know the story without having to take the time to play the game...here's the script.

Things to do this weekend after the Renfaire:
Answer emails/comments
Finish the drabbles
Okay! Now to go search ff.net for more Cloud/Sephiroth stuff, or at least reread my favorites. I so need a FF icon...

And sigh. My icon space runs out in ten days, apparently. Wah. And I don't think I have enough money to buy more...going to have to content myself with fifteen icons again. Oh well.

I'm not as fast as some of my friends who can just look at it and jump from beginning directly to the end (I actually need to write down steps), but I know all the concepts. Verbal's my handicap. I suck at reading comprehension because I tend to overanalyze and see two possible answers, and my vocabulary I always second-guess myself on.
And yet, I've never manged to get an 800 on my math section. Nowhere near it. *pouts*
G'luck on the SATs! Yes, I know it's early, but it's never too early to wish someone luck, especially on something like SATs.
