Bugger. Don't it just figure that, the first time I try to use filters in my entries (normally I only use them for reading the flist, when I don't have time to read everyone), I bugger it up. *sigh* And that instead of filtering out what I meant to, I filter out communities, which is so incredibly useless. And now I feel stupid. Bother.

Anyway, one of my friends has joined us here in Santa Cruz, hence why I haven't been around for the past couple days, and why I probably won't be for the next couple as well--seems a bit rude, as a host, to be online when a friend's over.

But something good--I finished Crime and Punishment. One book down, two to go, and the less dense ones too! No idea why my mom was worried that I wouldn't finish the summer reading on time, especially when school starts again on the thirtieth...

Now to finish reading the pile of email that's mounted up, and maybe get to some of my flist...

You know, and this is really just strange, I halfway miss having summer reading. It was a large pain in the ass, but it actually did expose me to some of my favorite books and such.

What else are you reading, then?

Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison (which I just finished today at the family reunion I was BORED OUT OF MY MIND at) and Catch-22. I believe I am going to procrastinate horribly with Catch-22 now. *g*
