Leaving for Santa Cruz

First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, thieving_gypsy! I hope it's absolutely brilliant! (Well, in technically about half an hour, but it's already the seventh where you live, so :D).

Second of all, I'll be going to Santa Cruz today. I might have internet access, or I might not. It all depends on if the access numbers for the dial-up I have to use will cooperate with me. They don't, half the time, but I can but hope.

This won't be the last entry you get before I leave, but the last one will be a fic (prettyveela's Lily/Snape!), so I'm just saying things here. If you don't see me for eight or nine days, know that I'm all right, at least.

Question: When do the Olympics start?

Here's to hoping I have internet access, but have a nice week if I don't!

ETA: thistlerose, while packing, I found a sock. A black one. It's so going to become Footpad, and I will bring it when I come to Seattle. Bring a camera so we can take our own pictures. XD

From whats on the website the Olympics opening ceremony is Friday August 13. Not what I would call the best day to begin something so global but hey I don't make the rules I just watch the games.
