rynneI have a power cord! More to the point, a working power cord!
Last week my power cord started to not work unless I twisted it into odd positions. Throughout the week, the number of positions it would work in dwindled. I ordered a new cord online, but Apple told me it might not get here before the 25th. Considering today it felt like it was on the verge of not working at all, I was starting to panic about having to wait until maybe the 25th to have my computer working properly.
But the cord came today! Big relief. :D
Dear Connections professor,
I don't need to be a Classics major to know what a Pyrrhic victory is. Or how to spell Pyrrhic, for that matter.
I'm enjoying my little jaunt outside the English department this semester, but if nothing else, these classes are emphasizing that I did pick the right major. At least my English professors don't look at me oddly when I can define Pyrrhic victory, or the words erudite, onerous, and ubiquitous, or when I know what an independent variable is. I imagine they just figure I read it somewhere--as, indeed, I did.

Today I watched K-9 and Company. It was SO CUTE. Well, K-9's always been one of my favorite companions, and the opening sequence alone was utterly adorable.
The plot...actually reminded me of Hot Fuzz. XD Sort of. There was even a mini-shoot-out at the end, though of course it was nothing on the scale of Hot Fuzz. Hah! Shooty dog thing!
Definitely put me in the mood for watching Sarah Jane Adventures soon. :D
