Not to mention that Liam dies? XD But yeah, I know what you mean. I love Alanna/George, but I was sort of half-way rooting for Alanna/Jonathan as well, though it certainly wasn't going to work out between them either, when her independence is so important to her.
Looks like I'm the opposite of you. Happy is my default--I have to be in a certain mood for ones where it's not going to work. :p
