Some random thoughts, not in order.

"Are you my mummy?" AHAHAHAHAHA. That was awesome! Seriously made me laugh. :D

Brigadier reference! Yay for the Brigadier! I haven't seen that many Classic UNIT episodes, but I do love the Brigadier and Sergeant Benton.

Sylvia wins at practicality. Wilf wins at awesome. Yay for Donna's family! I already like them better than the Joneses. :p

ROSS NOOO. I liked Ross. :( I thought he'd probably die, but wahhh.

I keep mentally calling Luke "Adam". XD Well, at least Luke was more awesome than Adam.

Oh, Donna. You were scared and you didn't know what to do and the Doctor had to walk you through everything, but you totally came through. And now she has a key! :D

I really liked Martha talking to her clone, and taking back her engagement ring. Just from the way she did that, it was really obvious how much she loves Tom Milligan, which makes me happy. And at the end, not wanting to stay on the TARDIS because she has things to do at home, and people she doesn't want to leave. Obviously she's around for the next episode, but I hope the Doctor takes her home after that, for her sake.

The Valiant! And the Doctor seemed happy about it, which I thought was sorta...odd. Not like it has any positive associations for him.

There are SO MANY references to previous seasons in this season! I am curious.

I am not a scientist at all, and I still wanted to facepalm at the burning away the gas. XD

Oh, Doctor. Going up to the ship to activate the thing because he had to give them a choice. That's my Doctor. And even saying goodbye! Oh, Doctor.

And then Luke took his place. That was so, so great of him. And it's yet another instance of the responsibility not being entirely on the Doctor's shoulders this season. Donna helped him push down the lever in Fires of Pompeii, the Ood had everything taken care of themselves in Planet of the Ood, and now Luke kills all the Sontarans instead of the Doctor. When I saw last week's episode, I thought it was following the emotional path I'd predicted, and now it's doing it again, though a different aspect. Last week was the Doctor's abandonment issues, and this week was his responsibility. I predicted that S4 would play out so that the Doctor would realize he didn't have to be the Lonely God, and it seems to be doing just that.

Last, but certainly not least, ROSE. We got another appearance! Now I'm very curious how she's doing all this stuff. First the slow fade away in PiC (when all previous interdimensional transport was instantaneous), and now appearing on the TARDIS screen, interrupting transmissions. I want to know what's going on!

YAY ROSE!

And thank GOD Luke did that thing at the end. Otherwise I would've wanted to kick him for being a whiny little asshole. Well... I still kinda do. But less now.

I get the Doctor being happy about the Valiant -- I think he'd be happy it'd been requisitioned for use in, you know, something GOOD!

The preview for next week makes me shivery, and not in a good way. This is one of those episodes that might be awesome, but might break both fandom and my brain. Gfuh.
