Sep. 2nd, 2006 08:49 pmI haven't been saying much lately, and my head feels really stuffed. I'm not sure how much those statements have to do with each other. I don't think I'm sick, but--my head feels stuffed. *shrugs*
I finally found a dance studio up here, that I can get to in a reasonable amount of time, that doesn't have a dress code requiring me to wear a leotard, and that has advanced tap. (You'd be surprised at how long it took me to find such a studio.) I called and registered for the class, and was generally happy and excited because yay, dance!
Except yesterday I realized that the class is on Tuesdays at 8:15, meaning that there is no way I can watch House. *facepalm* The only show I can think of that I actually want to watch while it's on TV, and now I can't. I like this studio and I don't want to go through the trouble of finding another one (especially after I've already registered for the class), and there aren't any other times offered, and really, dance is more important to me than House, but... *sighs*
I've never downloaded episodes of a show off the internet before, but I know it's possible. So...once the next season starts up, can anyone point me towards where I would be able to watch it? I just don't want to have to wait until it comes out of DVD, which is what I did for seasons one and two.
In other news, I finished season two of X-Files, have begun season three...and have been unable to resist reading fanfic. I originally wanted to wait until I finished all nine seasons, so I wouldn't get completely lost, but then I decided to just screw it and read the fic, because if Netflix wanted to be so fucking slow in getting the discs to me, I wanted something to tide me over.
I am also very, very tempted to just screw getting it from Netflix and buy all nine seasons off eBay, or something. I actually started looking at auctions a few weeks ago, and the prices typically offered are well within my range, but I initially stopped myself due to wondering if I would really want the whole series. I mean, I love it so far, but that might change.... Hey,
rubraaura, you're really into X-Files, right? D'you think it'd be worth it to buy all nine seasons, rather than waiting for them to come through Netflix? Anyone else is, of course, welcome to give input.
(Considering my birthday is in two weeks, I wonder if I'd be able to get my parents to buy it for me...hmmm....)
Gah, my head feels stuffed. Thank God for three-day weekends, because I really don't want to do homework now.

Date: 2006-09-03 03:39 pm (UTC)I say if you can afford it, go for it! At the very least--seasons 1-7 are worth it, imo. I fell off the wagon when Duchovney left and only watched season 8 partially and 9 not at all (though my husband forced me to watch the finale, and it was ... okay ... better, at least, than I thought it would be). Seasons 4 and 5 are MUST HAVES (especially 5) and 6 and 7 are really good, too. I think that you'd love the entire series, and that if it is in your price range that you should go for it!
Too bad we can't watch them together!!
And, as for the fanfic--that's where I cut my ficcy teeth. Ah, those were the days... :D
That Luke 'mood' is hilarious. LOL!!
