Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] drakyndra, [livejournal.com profile] marksykins, and my lovely RL friend [livejournal.com profile] dreamingreader! Of course, the 28th is almost over, but I hope your days were great!

I'm halfway through A Feast For Crows. I don't like it as much as the first three, but I want to know what happens! And then I have to wait for the next book, sigh.

I finished my fifth game of KH2 yesterday...and I want to start a sixth. I've had this game for five weeks. Someone stop me. XD

I also started playing KH: Chain of Memories, finally. I hate the card system, but I love Sora's smirk. *g*

And I just finished the prologue of a chaptered KH fic. *sigh* It won't be novel-length, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turned into a novella. It's more focused on characters than plot (...as if I could write anything else...), but it has one. And I should be able to finish it this summer, despite needing to get a job. And once I finish it, the ideas and snippets of dialogue for it should leave me alone. XD

...You know, I remember a couple years ago, complaining that I couldn't write anything but Harry Potter. Though I love writing for multiple fandoms, I almost miss that--at least I rarely had multiple projects going on at once. Once I can get stuff off my old computer, I need to keep going with Burnt by the Sun.

I didn't like AFFC nearly as much as the first three. Mostly due to lack of Jon POV. >.>

No Jon POV at all? Aww. He, Bran, and Dany are my favorites, and I was looking forward to his POV on being Lord Commander.

No Jon POV at all. :( :( The only glimpse we get of Jon is through Sam Tarly's POV, and then only a little (and that little seriously makes me go w.t.f, Jon!) And no Bran, either, iirc.

I can't really get into Dany. I've tried, but I can't. I'm mostly fixated on Jon, Arya, Sansa, Tyrion, and Jaime. (I used to love Ned's and Catelyn's POV's as well, but... *cries*)

Jaime is totally growing on me, and I always liked Tyrion and Arya. Sansa I mostly just feel sorry for--whenever it seems something is going her way, things take a turn for the worse. Poor girl.

I miss Ned and Catelyn! And Robb, even if we never got his POV. But I'm totally looking forward to more Jon POV in the next book. :D

Btw, is your icon of Jon and Ghost?

Apparently the next upcoming book has lots of Jon chapters, though. GRRM keeps leaving little tidbits about it on his website. It better! >:0

Thank you for the birthday wishes!

Are you gonna post the KH fic here or somewhere else? I'd love to read it.

I tried so hard to play KH: CoM! I lasted...not very long before almost throwing the Gameboy into the wall. The card system really frustrates me, but I'm curious about the plot and the character development within CoM. People say that there's another side to Axel that you won't really know about unless you play it.

...I might just cheat and read the script, though. *hides*

I post all my fic here and to my website, so it'll be up eventually. I'm going to finish it first, though, so it might be awhile before you see it. :p

I bought CoM not long after it came out, read that you fought with cards, and left it alone until I played KH2 and realized it might be important. XD Then I cheated and read the script, but I figured I might as well play the game. The cards aren't as bad as I thought they would be, though I hate that they seem to require more strategy than just running up to an enemy and bashing it with your giant key, my favorite tactic. XD

I really liked being able to run around and do all sorts of crazy moves in KH. I played Final Fantasy Tactics and actually got pretty into that battle system, too, though. (Talking about it makes me miss it. Ramza~) The card system is one of the few battle systems I've ever not liked.
