So. Obviously the trip to New York is scratched. I was really looking forward to that, but it's better to be safe, and it's not like the trains are running anyway.
I am in Sandy's path, but I think I'm as prepared as I can get. I don't think Washington DC is in any sort of evacuation zone, so I shouldn't have to go anywhere for a few days -- classes have been cancelled both today and tomorrow so far. I have food and water, and so far I still have power (obviously). My apartment is in the basement and my roommate thinks we might get a little flooding, but not very much.
I hope everyone else in the region is doing all right. Stay safe!
