A delightful Christmas story and a lovely, believable and eminently logical progression of the Academy AU trope, which is so often blindingly unbelievable!

Full credit to you for making us all remember exactly why Jim Kirk would turn his life around for a chance to simply be close to Spock, even if that's all he ever got. I love this story all the more because you made that distinction.
