rynne: (r/s all I ever wanted)
My second [livejournal.com profile] remixredux08 fic. This was my pinch hit, and I'm quite proud of it, especially for not having written HP since last Remix. :p

Title: Lucky Number Seven (By the Numbers Remix)
Author: Rynne
Summary: The seven people Sirius Black has kissed, and the reason he hasn't had sex until the last one.
Rating: R
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: Sirius/others, Sirius/Remus
Warnings: Het and slash
Spoilers: Through Order of the Phoenix
Title, Author and URL of original story: 35 Years of Virginity and Counting! by [livejournal.com profile] lupinslittlesis
Notes: [livejournal.com profile] lupinslittlesis's assigned author came through, but I'd already finished this, and figured she wouldn't mind having more than one fic. ;) Many thanks to the lovely [livejournal.com profile] thistlerose, for the great beta on short notice.

rynne: (r/s all I ever wanted)
This was my pinch hit, and the first Remus/Sirius fic I've written in...more than a year. I like the fic, and apparently others like the fic, so it's nice to know that I haven't completely lost my touch with these two.

Anyway, sometime later tonight/tomorrow, I'm going to ramble about writing these two fics. I'm also going to finally update my website, so watch for that.

Title: My Candle Burns at Both Ends (The Extended Combustion Remix)
Author: Rynne
Summary: There are so many things Sirius should have done.
Rating: PG
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: Remus/Sirius
Title, Author and URL of original story: Burn It by [livejournal.com profile] kanella
Notes: Title comes from the poem First Fig by Edna St. Vincent Millay. Many thanks to my lovely [livejournal.com profile] thistlerose, for betaing on such short notice.

My PS2 is an ass. Do those things wear out? Half my games won't play anymore, and this makes me sad.

[livejournal.com profile] many_miles_away, I got your card! I'll post the drabble tomorrow, all right? :)

I've got lots of writing to put up lately, wow. Yesterday was more Feet on the Ground, and in a few hours, once I do some editing, I'll put up the next chapter of that Luke/Vader fic, but right now here are the drabbles I wrote for [livejournal.com profile] thistlerose and [livejournal.com profile] yeats's birthdays. The first three were for [livejournal.com profile] thistlerose, and the last one for [livejournal.com profile] yeats.

I offer this as proof of three things: that I have not abandoned HP, that I still love R/S, and that I continue in my Christmas tradition of pervertedly filking Christmas carols.

Randomly, this is the first high-rated thing I've written since I turned eighteen. :p This is dedicated to my RL friend Rachel, who likes these, who wanted another one, and who I will eventually convince to get an LJ.

Merry Christmas! People who care about my SW stuff will get something later tonight. :)

Title: Remus the Werewolf
Rating: R/NC17
Summary: "Frosty the Snowman", only not.

Remus the Werewolf )

Molly was baking, and humming a cheery tune along with the wireless, when Arthur came home.

"Hello, dear," she said, giving him a quick kiss while keeping her floury hands away from his robes. "My brothers said they wanted to come for dinner. Is that all right with you?"

Arthur returned the kiss, though he gave her a funny look, one she couldn't interpret despite their years of marriage, as he pulled back. "Gideon and Fabian?"

"Of course Gideon and Fabian; what other brothers do I have?" She Summoned a towel and wiped the flour off her hands. That funny look was still on Arthur's face, and it wasn't going away. "Arthur?"

"Molly." He took her shoulders, rubbed his thumbs gently against them. "Molly...I don't suppose there's an easy way to say this--"

Now Molly knew what that look meant. She could hear it in his voice. "Gideon and Fabian are dead, aren't they," she said flatly. It wasn't a question. Arthur bowed his head until his forehead rested against hers, and didn't answer. She stood there for a moment, letting the warmth of her husband brush against the new empty place inside her heart where her brothers had been, then, "I need to finish cooking," she said, and stepped back.

Arthur watched her worriedly, as if she was going to break. She wouldn't break, though. She was Molly Weasley, formerly Molly Prewett, mother of six with a seventh on the way, and she couldn't break. Her family needed her. What would the children and Arthur eat if she indulged herself in the tears stinging behind her eyes, and cried until there was nothing left in her?

She turned to the pan where her casserole was almost done. She busied herself in finishing it, and hoped it wouldn't be harmed by a slight salty wetness.

First of all, happy Mother's Day to all the mothers on my flist! All of you amaze me, because I can't imagine myself doing what you do every day. <3!

Second of all, [livejournal.com profile] raelala is now a Master of Arts, and a bunch of her friends created [livejournal.com profile] the_lint_trap (it catches the fluff, you know) as a graduation present. Here's what I wrote for her.

Title: Names

Finally finished my [livejournal.com profile] crossover_hp assignment, so...

Title: That Old Bookshop
Author: Rynne
Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] lindramine
Crossover: With Good Omens
Rating: PG-13
Length: ~3,700 words
Pairing: Hermione/Crowley, slight Hermione/Aziraphale, implied Crowley/Aziraphale
Summary: The battle for Hermione's soul begins.
Disclaimer: Jo owns Hermione and the wizarding world, Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman own Crowley and Aziraphale, and I'm just making them do naughty things.
Notes: This was more stubborn than it should have been. Sorry I'm late!

Somehow it was the little things that were the worst reminders.

The absence of water rings on the hardwood tables, because Remus always used coasters. Towels hung up to dry rather than just thrown casually into the sink. The absence of black dog hair on the duvet.

That last was the worst. Sirius loved--had loved--it when he was a dog and Remus would dig in and scratch his ruff. When he was human, he'd said it was somewhat like a massage. Remus had found it comforting, the pile of big black dog in his lap, though he never mentioned it to Sirius. He thought Sirius had known, at any rate, and just hadn't said anything because he liked being the comforting one for once.

About an hour ago, Remus was walking around the house, and tripped over a bundled up sock. It had been Sirius's, he knew--there was the slight tang of Sirius's smell on it, and a few coarse black dog hairs. He stood there for a moment, holding it in his hand, and when he blinked five minutes later, he was surprised to find that he wasn't crying. It wasn't supposed to happen that way, Remus thought, because in all the books, someone would stand there holding a reminder of his dead lover and then blink and find himself crying. But Remus wasn't crying. Hadn't cried. Wasn't going to cry.

I want to go home, he thought, carefully tucking the sock into a pocket and walking upstairs. Grimmauld Place wasn't home and that old rented flat in Shropshire wasn't home. If home was where the heart was, then Remus's was behind the veil with Sirius.

I've got promises to keep, Remus thought, and carefully put the sock in the back of the sock drawer in the room he'd shared with Sirius. And I'll keep them.
rynne: (make out (copperbadge))
Sirius poked Remus sharply in the shoulder. "Remus!" he hissed. "Remus, wake up!"

Remus shifted and batted Sirius's hand away. "Go 'way," he muttered. "Tired. Sleep." He buried his face in his pillow again.

"Remus, it's Valentine's Day!" Sirius exclaimed softly, and poked Remus again.

"Don't care. Sleep." Remus shoved the covers more firmly over his head.

Sirius sat back and crossed his arms against his chest. "Oh, that's all very well for you," he said sulkily. "Oh yes, let's just ignore Sirius. He's only the one you've been having sex with for the past year and a half. What d'you have to pay attention to him for?"

"Mmm. Tha's right. Don' have to..." Remus yawned, "...listen t'you..."

Sirius glowered at the pile of blankets covering Remus. "Right, that's it," he said decisively. "Either you're getting up now, or you're not getting up at all today."

He pounced. Then he found that Remus was ready for him, grabbing hold of his wrists and pulling him closer. "I can live with that," Remus murmured, and smiled.

"Hmmm." Sirius looked at him from beneath half-lowered eyelids. "What say we have a nice fade-to-black right about now?" he asked, and Remus laughed.

Title: From This Day Forward
Author: Rynne
Rating: G
Summary: James is getting married.
Notes: for [livejournal.com profile] musesfool, who was wondering why more people don't write James/Lily.

It was only late September when James appeared at the door of Sirius’s flat and said, with some degree of panic, “Oh my God, Sirius, I’m getting married.” )

Only wrote one today (but I'm really tired and I have a sore throat and cramps), but I like this one. Theme today was opposites.

Prompt: Forgotten and remembered
Pairing: Remus/Sirius
Rating: G

"Did you hear?"

"--that's right, that's what I--"

"--believe it, it's so incredible. How--"

"--yes, Sirius Black, that's right--"

Remus walked through the crowd of people in Diagon Alley calmly, as if Sirius had not just escaped from Azkaban, as if wanted posters were not showing up everywhere, as if he wasn't going to be the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher so that he could protect Harry from Sirius.

Someone smashed into him from behind, and knocked him against a wall. "Sorry," the person mumbled, and walked on. Remus stared after him for a moment before continuing on to Flourish and Blotts.

"--Black, and did you hear what he did to Pettigrew? Bloody brutal--"

Stop talking about Sirius! Remus wanted to yell. He wanted to Silence them all so that he wouldn't have to hear the words "Sirius Black" echoing around his head and making him remember what he wanted to forget, everything he wanted to forget, like the sound of Sirius's laugh, the way his mouth crinkled at the corners when he smiled, the way he kissed Remus like Remus meant something to him--

I'll probably never forget, he thought, threading his way through the crowd. These people, and Dumbledore, and my own mind...they won't let me.

Remus pasted a pleasant expression on his face, and walked on.

Title: The Heart of the Matter
Author: Rynne
Rating: R/NC17
Summary: Sirius loves Christmas, and Remus. Not necessarily in that order. Good thing James woke him up to that last—now if only Sirius could get Remus to see the same, things would be perfect.
Author’s notes: I know it’s past Christmas, but I didn’t have the internet then. Here’s a present. It was originally written for Lauren for the SBRL list Christmas fic exchange.

Last night I watched The Princess Bride. God I love that movie (and the book).

[livejournal.com profile] thistlerose, remember when we decided we were going to do HP versions of movies, you with Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (and according to JKR site canon, Bill and Tonks are about the same age!) and me with The Princess Bride?

I was thinking about ways to adapt the HP characters to The Princess Bride throughout almost the entire movie. XD Now I really have to write it. After I steal the book back from Twin, of course. *g*

Also, I was teh frivolous and decided to ask for a custom title at FAP, since I can have one now. Guess what it is? "Playing with Puppies". I'm so obsessed.

I think my first rec for [livejournal.com profile] crack_broom will be tomorrow. After my THREE TESTS. *wibbles at the tests*

Anyway, have some drabbles. [livejournal.com profile] queerditch_pub's theme tonight was musicals. I just wrote two.

Remus/Sirius - Empty chairs at empty tables - PG-13 )

*

Remus/Bill (though really Remus/Sirius) - “Who'd believe that we two would end up as lovers?” - PG )
rynne: (Default)
Because I got to do both early and late round of [livejournal.com profile] queerditch_pub, here's some drabbles. Theme tonight was consequences, and general rating of G. At least half of them are platonic.

Remus/Sirius - consequences of falling in love )

*

Remus/Harry - Rage contained: a lesson in self-control )

*

Remus/Bill - Consequences of Cruciatus Curse )

*

Remus/Sirius - Imprisonment )

*

Arthur/Molly - consequences of unprotected sex )

*

Remus/Sirius/Tonks - Time out )

*

Sirius/Remus - Overdue )

Er. Right. I suppose I'm to blame for this, aren't I? *sigh* Well then.

Title: Wish
Author: Rynne
Rating: G
Summary: They wish.

'I wish I could touch you,' Sirius's ghost whispered. )
rynne: (Default)
First of all, my forearms are aching. We did some hand-to-hand stuff today in swordfighting, in case we're disarmed, and blocking...ow. But we did it enough that I'm sure, should someone come at me in one of the three ways that I learned to block, I could stop them. I might break my arm in doing so, but I could stop them. :p

Also, today I discovered something quite interesting. I usually take showers at night, since I don't want to get up early enough in the morning, but last night I was tired and so I had a shower this morning. And since I hate blow dryers, I let my hair air dry. You know what it does when I let it do that?

It turns into corkscrew curls. And it's not that there's anything wrong with corkscrew curls, but...it makes me think of...innocent little girls. Like Shirley Temple. And you know, while I may be able to tap dance, and I like to think I do it well, I'm no Shirley Temple. And certainly no innocent little girl. Look below at the last drabble if you doubt.

Behold, I finally got to participate in [livejournal.com profile] queerditch_pub, even if I was delayed a bit, so here are some drabbles. Theme today was history.

Ron/Hermione - Hogwarts, a History - G )

*

Remus/Sirius - notes in History class - PG-13/R )
rynne: (Default)
Just so you know, I blame [livejournal.com profile] lykaios for this. *nods firmly*

Title: It's All Freudian
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Telling James about Freud helps him understand why precisely Remus keeps helping Sirius with his "revising".

“You know,” Remus said, “it’s all very Freudian.” )
rynne: (homo-fucking-sex galore! (poufywerewolf))
Wellllll, aren't I being productive? A fic, a poem-thingy, and now a ficlet, all within three days. Don't get used to it. :p

And he said, "I think I might be falling in love with you."
But Remus looked blank, and said, "What?" And his voice
Came out a croak, and he almost looked like a frightened
Deer, holding himself still. Did I say it too
Early?
Sirius thought, worried. Was it much too
Fast for him to handle?
But Sirius couldn't regret telling this
Graceful, kind boy, who he thought he'd been in love with before
He even really thought about it. "Remus?" Sirius asked.
"I know it's a lot to spring on you..." Remus laughed shakily.
"Just give me a minute," he said. "That's a hell of a secret to
Keep from me. When did you know that you--" He hesitated.
"Loved you?" Sirius finished. He shrugged. "A couple months,
Maybe. Not longer than six." Remus blinked, and Sirius shrugged again.
"Not longer than six?" Remus asked, voice almost hollow. Sirius nodded.
"Only I haven't quite been keeping track," he said apologetically.
"Perhaps it's been more than six months. But I didn't think you were
Queer, like me, and so I didn't tell you." "Now you do?" Remus asked,
Raising an eyebrow. Sirius nodded complacently. "A week ago I
Saw you kissing John Huntley," he said, "so I figured maybe you were gay
Too, and you wouldn't think I was disgusting. But anyway," Sirius
Urged, "what do you say?" Remus smiled, and took Sirius's hand. "I
Very much reciprocate," he said, and kissed Sirius on the mouth. "I've
Wanted this for at least as long as you have. And while this room isn't quite a
Xanadu, it's good enough." Sirius grinned. "Does that mean," he asked, "that
You want us to have sex now?" Remus grinned too, and tugged down the
Zipper of Sirius's trousers. "Why not?" he asked, and Sirius laughed and agreed.

...No, there is no point to that, other than that I couldn't think of something to say today and then had this urge to write weird almost-poetry. Er. Look at the first letter of each line.

...I'm so weird. XD
